Since I left the military, I haven't been shooting nor I plan to go. I'm not opposed to weapons or shooting. It's just something I desire to engage in since I transitioned. After being out two years, I still occasionally think about range qualification days. I know many of my comrades and vets who own personal weapons and still go shooting today. I'm a bit curious about the post-service shooting choices. Do you still shoot or no? Why or why not?

Love shooting, great stress reliever and it's nice to do something that connects me however tentatively w/the service

But I no longer will admit to or even whether I own weapons publicly nor discuss the sport much due to the domestic situation nationally sad to say.

I go when I can, not as often as I would like. I have a new concealed carry weapon that I haven't shot yet and need to get proficient with it. I will be going soon with a veteran friend.

I am a former combat infantry officer and to this day I belong to a gun club and own a safe full of weapons and ammo. I swore a long time ago to protect this country from all enemies,, foreign and domestic, unfortunately for the last 7 yrs, I think the pendulum has swung to domestic

I go all the time, at minimum 2 times a month, usually once a week. Between 400 to 1000 rounds.

That will slow down when you start paying for the ammo.

I am paying for ammo, just buy it in bulk, learning how to reload 556 rounds, the numbers are stacking to my favor.

Yeah, reloading your own cuts the cost about in half for 9mm and even better for .45 ACP.

I plan to continue shooting long after I get out. After all, why put the money down on a LaRue OBR with a 20 inch barrel and a Bushnell HDMR scope with the H59 reticule and let all that time with Todd Hodnett go to waste.

Hell yeah I still go and I'm still serving. Nothing beats going to the range and having a good time.
