Do you think illegal immigrants should be able to use welfare/public assistance?
Illegal immigrants should not be able to access anything EXCEPT emergency life saving medical aid from any taxpayer supported organization/group
I do work for Wal Mart, have for 16 plus years though in the logistics end. The people who work in the retail end make as much or more as anyone else in the industry and the insurance while not grand is better than most in said industry. It's an industry wide problem of very tight profit margins and increasing online competition. Worse Wal Mart has tried to go down the green & politically correct road which has crushed that margin ever smaller.
Requiring businesses to provide health care is working so well that folks like you demanded the government demand more services be added to it and then get into the business themselves...yeah it's working great too isn't it?
BTW, cocaine is legal in some countries so should we make that legal here? Have you looked at the tax structure in Isael? They have a lot of other problems that we don't have here at least on the same scale...
Veteran who fought twice in Afghanistan may be deported
A former soldier who served two tours in Afghanistan with the US military and where he suffered serious head injuries, is fighting an order to deport him to Mexico. Military veteran Army Private 1st class Miguel Perez was born in Mexico and grew up in Chicago. He sustained a brain injury on his second tour of duty and suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, his family said.
Service Members, Not Citizens: Meet The Veterans Who Have Been Deported
Military service does not guarantee U.S. citizenship, which has meant a group of veterans has wound up together just over the border in Tijuana, Mexico, at a refuge they've dubbed "The Bunker."

It's important to note that this policy wouldn't affect those who come with nothing but work hard to make a living, like the family depicted in the song "Kenji."
Of course, if society really wants to increase the number of poor in America, then the policy would be reversed into something more similar to the welfare laws in Hawai'i, where I've met many mentally ill people who had their family buy them a one-way ticket, and they went straight to the welfare office for their food stamp card with no proof of residency required. This was a very effective way to increase both the tax rate and and the homeless population.
