Of course... Despite what the mainstream media reports, and omits, and forgets, for 8 years President Obama did not care one bit about rules, procedures, or what the masses wanted... Of course he could have, and I suspect time will show he did.

Col, your statement seems to indicate that you are skeptical of journalists. By mainstream media, do you mean the college-educated professional journalists, like at the NY Times CNN, NBC, ABC, PBS, and Washington Post; many of whom have won Pulitzer prizes for their excellent journalism. Just because the writings of major media outlets don't comport with your minority opinions, does not make them less true. The cancer on journalism is the rank hackery that exists at Fox and Breitbart. There, facts are mostly unnecessary. Rare exceptions like Brett Baer and Shep Smith, but mostly just hacks. Journalism is an actual profession, where opinions are left to the op ed pages, not the lead story. For the many things Obama could and should have done better, he was no liar. He was an honorable man, who I often disagreed with, but an honorable man; just like the 2 Bush's that preceded him.

LCpl Ashur Nissan - Liberal atheist here. Every publication that you just named are all trash dirty smear merchants. Journalism died many years. You don't get to give the nobility of people of old to the new trash people who do it now. You are deluded man. Just because someone's grandfather who was a WWII vet was a great man, doesn't mean his grandchildren are. Grandchildren can fall from the grace of their ancestors. Main Stream media is FAR from what it used to be. It is absolute trash now. They are nothing more than dirty smear merchants who don't do an ounce of journalism. I have seen better journalism from independent people who belong to no one.

Trump had four years to dig up some factual basis for his accusations, but he didn’t have to, because he had so many gullible people hanging onto every crazed word that came out of his mouth. Some of the posts on this sight show a clear divide between the younger enlisted men and officers, and the more senior field grades were are supposed to place our faith and confidence in. Scary.

Of course, given the latitude in your question. That will never be discovered, the white house council or one of the top leaders in the IC also could have done it, assuming that it even happened. I put that caveat on my answer, because President Trump can gain access to anything held by the government due to his position. So, why hasn't he?

That, I agree with. Why hasn’t he? And why hasn’t he exposed Obama’s past? That worries me since it is filled with so many inconsistencies!

MCPO Collins- If you are a BS artist, and 40% of the population are gullible, sub literate, and fearful, you don’t need facts to keep them under your tent. I cite the circus that was Trump’s response to the pandemic. What morons believed that you could kill the virus with disinfectant? Ask your local poison control response team. Unbelievable.

"Do you think President Obama could have ordered..." Absolutely. Did he is the real question...either directly or indirectly. He does have a sketchy track record but he is no dummy and is/was certainly aware of the ramifications of this action.

What I find interesting is in the last couple of days of his presidency, he amended Executive Order 12333 to expand NSA authority to allow more government agencies access to raw streams of communications obtained by NSA. Ahem...

Think you hit the nail on the head chief. With his final hours amendments, it sounds like he shredded USSID 18 and the 4th Amendment.

Just think fora minute: You're a fawning flunkie sitting down at a meeting with a 4 Star General. He says "I think we should do this....." How many would trip over their heels getting to a phone to some other flunkie, saying :The Generals wants this done......".

Google images for New York Times 20 Jan 2017 and a front page image with a header shows wire taps on Trump Aids. This would make me say yes due to the nature of all communications that he had with his aids. Is it wrong ..I say yes at the same time they should not deny it. The facts are out there just waiting to be brought to the front of the less than stellar show from the N.W.O. (Not W.C.W. N.W.O.) Our government has become so corrupt it is not even funny anymore. I am not a Republican nore Democrat I am an American.

One year later and the truth is starting to roll out. Even the F.B.I. team stated (in the emails) the P.O.T.U.S. at the time was to be kept in the loop 24/7.

Do I believe President Obama ordered a wire tapping? I don't know. Do I believe appointees within his administration "weaponized" some arms of the executive branch for political advantage, ABSOLUTELY! Do I think President Obama has maintained plausible deniability of involvement in any of that "weaponization", probably.

We have a similar opinion on that, but my point is that you do not have the resources to research in depth to the degree that those agencies I noted do.

Maj John Bell Thanks for being so thorough. Unfortunately this much clear evidence is willfully ignored. The scary part is I'm sure it only scratches the surface, we will be untying this knot for a long time.

To what end? If he tapped President Trump as a candidate, what good did it accomplish, if he was already elected what use would come of it? Unless it was to ensure that he wasn't conspiring with Russia. But this is also the man who says that he should have won the Popular vote by more than he did, except that there were so many inconsistencies which there is no proof of.

MSgt Kurt S. - Ahhh, the pleasantries of politics. Politicians speak kindly of each other to each other's faces, and stab each other in the back when they turn around. At least with Hollywood celebs, they dispense with the formalities and just say, "F--- Trump!" We know where most of them stand...

As an aside, it's a good thing most educated people do NOT take their political cues from clueless actors who make their livelihood pretending to be real military, real policemen, real firemen, real EMS, real doctors, real scientists, real engineers, real teachers, real miners, real oilmen, real farmers, real ranchers, etc. < People that actually ARE heroes in REAL life (not Hollyweird's bubble of make-believe reality) and are making a difference in the world. Lawyers, bankers, eh not so much. I can't think of two professions that have done more to screw this country, though that's not to say that good people don't exist in those professions.

But more importantly Trump does not care about this, he has known about it since the start. He was just trying to pull the heat off of Sessions. Political law of thermodynamics.

so true but the fact that many dems/repubs have also met with the Russians why is this even a concern, because its a trump appointee, put the shoe on the other side would it be such a big deal, this nickel and diming is a deliberate way of slowing down if not deliberately trying to stop the so called smooth transition, now because of an investigation there will be a slow down, and people can say trump isn't doing his job, what is a person to do when every corner you take someone throws a smoke bomb to slow you down, just my thought
