Do you think this happened and if so, why and was it done legally?

PO2 Robert M. - Depends on who you are calling and where. If you are invested in Russian businesses or talk to Putin or his people, watch your six.

PO2 Robert M. - What most people don't understand is what CTs do. Robert and his ilk, even an E-5, could throw me, as an E-9 out of my own Radio Shack. We had the same clrarance levels, but no need to know.

If this is true Then There Needs to Be an Investigation as to whom signed the Warrant and what were the Charges ot suspensions... and if in Fact it was bogus Charges then there needs to be Proper Legal Actions Taken... against the Judge and the personnel involved...

I'm not sure we need to know, but if anything illegal was done and/or it is not protected due to ongoing investigation I would like to know. There are so many investigations going on that I don't even try to keep up. If they got the proper warrants or writs then a judge must have been presented enough evidence to issue a warrant ; if one was required. If it is something illegal like Nixon's WH Plumbers then we need to know. It may just be a false accusation, or could be valid. Bottom line is we just don't know at this time, and may not ever know.

LCpl Todd Houston - To give credit where it's due though, a lot of folks are working very hard to make things look worse for Trump and I think that needs to be said. As to how bad it is...6 to 5 and pick em, because other than FBI everything else is being done in Intel Committees so we're not likely to know much more than we currently do. The media is eventually going to run out of "anonymous" sources so we may be hearing less in the future. I think the Obama admin. asked for FISA warrant but was denied, and asked again in October and one was granted. If that's true then any tap was legit. Obama WH has said they had no direct supervision of it, but good luck proving that.

LCpl Todd Houston - Todd, I found a couple of links re: the FISA warrant and also one that discusses an exception to the requirement for FISA warrant. Nobody such as FBI has confirmed anything on the warrant. It has been reported by Guardian, BBC, and US media outlets. I doubt anyone in our government will be discussing it much for now so that's probably all we'll get. S/F

Trump's Wiretapping Claim Based on Warrants Granted to FBI
He's wrong on details, but the Trump campaign was probably being monitored.

The possible crime comes if the data ended up in the hands of someone other than the investigators.
