I have used Ubuntu Studio for mixing and remastering. However, the local University is using Sabayaon Linux for the same thing. The best advice I can give is to ensure that all of your hardware is compatible directly with Linux. Using a work around to make your hardware work can cause sync issues and a drop in overall quality.

The only hardware issues I've heard of were related to external hardware or NVIDIA/AMD GPUs.

I will have to look them up and play around with them on my next project. Thanks for the suggestion!

My music skills are weak other than my ears, I like good music! It is fun to hunt for youtube posts of people posting covers or their own songs. Google Puro Mojo!
Speaking of Linux I have been putting it on friends computers who can not help but get infected the same week I fixed it for them. Most just surf the web and check e-mail, so for most love it and I get a break.
