Navy ball cap
I was unpacking a box and found my original issue Recruit and Navy Ball cap brought back so many memories. Interested to see if anyone else held onto items from boot camp. it was 12 years ago that i was in boot camp.

PO2 Corey Ferretti, I reported to Reception Station at Fort Jackson, SC on 28OCT69. Basic Combat Training began 11NOV69 and ended 16JAN70. I still have my original dog tags and the "graduation" book we received upon completion.

They let you leave a course with material? Do you still have your patrol mapped out on it

Yeah I still have my sweatshirt and sweats before they went to the current uniform. Wife wears them around as her "comfy" sweats. Don't know how they are comfy, but works for me. Happy wife, happy life :)

I have my original USNA hoodie from '81, and am wearing it now, except that the hood has long since been cut off.

I saved my low quarters (black shoes, for the other services) from basic training to this day. I wore them for years, including a stint in the Old Guard, where they sported a very high shine.

Still got blueberries. Also have some very faded woodlands from back in the day lol. good times when we did PT in our brown tee's instead of that hideous bright yellow uniform

-- I also have a pen i stole from one of the most notorious salty-assed BU1's ever haha. BU1 (SCW) Statzer. Miss that guy
