Does anyone have any good resources for grading and evaluating coins?

I am not a collector, but have come across a few coins and wondering what I have in my possession. Thanks !

Most libraries have a section on coin collecting. If you go to the coins you have in question, they often have grading charts and sometimes photos of what they mean by a certain grade of coin.

Do a computer search for the American Numismatic Association, the main group for U.S. coin collectors.

It's all subjective. There's no objective criteria for the value of challenge coins, outside of what the individual who made the coin paid for them.
