Today in the US Army Stand-To, the Noncommissioned Officer 2020 Strategy In paragraph 7 mentions the Expert Action Badge,
"To educate the force on these updates, TRADOC will conduct the fourth State of NCO Development Town Hall, scheduled for March 30 at 11 a.m. EDT. During the town hall, subject matter experts from across the force will discuss the following topics:
•Expert Action Badge.

It is for Soldiers that do not qualify for the EIB or EMB. Basically, it is the non-combat equivalent to the CAB. It will be a series of tests (much like the EIB) but not so Infantry task focused, that Soldiers who would not qualify for the EIB or EMB. More shiny things for the Soldiers.

1SG Mike Case , hearing one of my commanders talk today, the minimum score on the badge is 60 per category? Is this true also?

I have not heard the standards for each event and I don't believe that the Soldiers who are part of the pilot program have been told, so I couldn't answer that question. FOr anyone that is interested, CSM Davenport will be talking about this next week on the TRADOC Townhall:
Thursday at 11 a.m. Eastern time on http://www.tradoc.army.mil/watch.

As I understand it's equivalent to the EIB or EMB, like the CAB is to the CIB or CMB. There's also discussion about the creation of a Master Infantry Badge for those who have obtained both the CIB and EIB.

SPC (Join to see) - I'll just chalk this up to another badge I won't be able to earn. Got erroneously cheated out of the CAB in Iraq, and there are never any EFMB chances for my area in the Reserves, so that will also probably be the case for the EAB.

Now we are in the "everyone gets a trophy" generation, it has to bleed over into the military as well. "Oh Captain" cried the little POG, "Grunts got shinny things and we don't"

SSG Stephen Hurst - Go back to the SQT, then when tested they will get something which can again be used on a promotion board.

Noah G - Considering you are a civilian and don't know, go to Google, type in "pog army definition" . It will give you the meaning. Remember grunts is the word used to define infantrymen.
