I know wikipedia has errors but this list of USA original breeds is a good place to start.

I think the Bluetick Coonhound should be considered. I am not aware of a better tracker & isn't that part of what Rallypoint is (tracking service members & veterans)?

So you think that part of the Rallypoint mission is to "track service members and veterans"?

If Rally point creates a mascot.....I would have to VOTE for the USMC dog! HE IS ONE BAD.HOMBRE'....just like the MARINE CORPS!!!
The Marine Corps mascot tradition harkens back to World War I, when the Germans had called the attacking Marines “Devil Dogs.” In 1922, the Corps unofficially adopted the English bulldog as its mascot. The dog is always a purebred.
The name Chesty comes from the legendary Lt. Gen. Lewis B. ‘Chesty’ Puller Jr., who served in World War II and the Korean War, and is one of the most decorated Marines in history. He is the only Marine to be awarded five Navy Crosses, the second-highest military decoration for extraordinary heroism in combat by a member of the Navy or Marine Corps.
THE MARINES seem to be the first to RALLY and HIT THE GROUND when called upon....my reasoning for the selection I am voting for! and on a personal note my DAD was a USMC Vet!

When I think @ all the info asked for in the profile section & the fact track is synonymous with follow/find, I absolutely believe one role of this site & the members is to track. My primary reason for joining was the hope I could track down & reconnect with some old friends. If I remember correctly the Army expects you to track the instructions of superiors.
Please don’t confuse my use of the word track with the word stalk, a much more clandestine means of basically the same action. Like this site & its members the act of tracking/following/finding are open and obvious (like that of the hound when trailing).
So yes, I think part of the Rallypoint mission is to track.
