In honor of my Uncle a 26 year Army veteran who had many Army trained GSDs over the years and because there is nothing better than a good Army trained ass biting German Shepherd.

No bulldog! Cute dog, 1SG (Join to see) , are you a closet Marine? No, it's definitely got to be a service-neutral mascot. How about......an owl, to represent the collective wisdom of the community? No? How about....a seagull, to represent the sea, air and land components (sorry, seal was taken already, and yes the seagull operates on land. Ever seen them walking around on the beach?)? No? OK then, how about.... a platypus; an animal that is an amalgam of different parts- just like us! No? OK, then how about...... an eagle? An animal that is represented liberally within all of the services? Nature's true Joint creature.

I like the mascot idea, but would have to vote against a bulldog given that is the USMC mascot. (Nothing against YOUR bulldog, or the Marines!) :)
I'm sure with all the creative minds on here, we'll have a lot to pick from in short order!!

No offense taken, just thought I would start the topic off with that as an option. I can see your point though.

Thanks ... Yours is a beauty, too. I love English Bulldogs and have had several over the years. I had a fawn colored one, as well, but he died a few months ago.

Meet Ming, The most fearless, inquisitive and curious ferret that has ever existed. I seen her crawl on to the belly of a pit bull once and stare him down.

I would not insult Ming like that... God rest her soul... LOL... She has more spine and nads than Frank ever had, and she is female!!

Speaking of my dog...we almost lost him last week. He got feverish (105.9), so we took him to the Vet...after a wrong diagnosos and inadequate treatment, and a change to another vet, we found out that he had Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. After 7 days of laying on his side and peeing himself, he is up walking again as of this past Sunday, and I'm a happy guy. It's only been 9 years since I lost my last dog. I'm just not ready to lose this one!
