Do the nuclear arms talks and the expected new pact with Iran represent real progress towards peace? What are your feelings and thoughts about the deal? Does an arrangement with Iran make you feel safer or more nervous? Why?

I have to agree with PO2 Mark Saffell, SSgt (Join to see), and SCPO David Lockwood on this. Nothing - and I mean NOTHING - looks good in this deal. I'm not against compromise and negotiation - all part of diplomacy - but we're interacting with a hostile government who has rarely demonstrated any premise of forthrightness (yes, that's a word!).

The choice is simple. Move forward with detente with Iran or attack and invade Iran.

Nuclear weapons are old technology. If Iran wants a bomb, bombing them will not stop them, programs can be concealed. Only invading and occupying the country could stop the Iranians from making a bomb if they want one. The USA would be alone in such a war, with opposition not only from the Iranians, but from Russia and China, too. Look at map and compare the size of Iran with Iraq, which the USA could not even control.

It's better to have an inspection program and incentives for Iran to behave well.

My gut feeling, a legacy is all that was sought by this administration and we (the world) cannot trust Iran the least bit. Look no further than their leadership rhetoric and terrorist supporting activities. Eventually there will be a nuclear arms race in the Middle East and with so many unstable countries these weapons will be unsecure. The world will become incredibly more unsafe at the stroke of the pen.

Unfortunately, the world cannot trust this administration either.

Some how I don't see this going well in the future for the entire world. Someone will get their hands on this and we all will be in trouble.

How many times must I explain this? Iran has wanted a Nuke for decades, they still want a Nuke and now they have us paying them to make one....The sooner we change administrations the better.

It's what I expect from a liberal administration who gives millions to a country where they burn our flag and change "death to American".

I don't think so. Iran has continuously double-talked during this process. They are now saying they will only agree to terms if we lift sanctions on their ICBM development. Even a silly art major like me can put 2+2 together.

Excellent question & I am going to take a pass & say that it is too soon to know, but I remain very skeptical...And I am not a Republican critic of the Iran Nuclear Deal...
