Feed Mill Operator/Manager. We offer hands-on training for this position. Salary is negotiable between $60-85k PLUS- DOE. Need to live or relocate 5 to 60 miles South of Minneapolis. We need a responsible person with a strong work ethic and mechanical aptitude. Preferably raised on a farm with knowledge of production agriculture and its mechanical aspects.
1. College is not a prerequisite but you do need an ability to read and communicate. Some computer skills would be helpful. Mechanical background with skills such as welding and repair work.
2. Able to climb and lift 50 pounds.
3. Supervisory skills over a staff of 2-3 individuals and have a track record of mechanical project management (Like how and where to install new milling equipment so it all works together properly).
4. This job would entail a "hands-on" approach with operating hours M-F from 8 to 5 pm. This job is not a hourly job but a job requiring completion of tasks, so after hours is necessary when the project requires the extra hours to be completed.
5. Job would be to operate the mill equipment and to monitor and direct the loading and unloading of product.
6. We have a shop adjacent to the mill where milling equipment can be repaired as needed to keep the mill operational.
7. The candidate would work on site with production of finished grain products and coordinate outgoing orders and incoming raw grain incoming loads.
Health insurance, paid vacation, and other benefits as needed or requested by applicant. Starting date would be October 2022.
