I graduated from WOCS March 20th of this year, however, my WOBC date is not until Feb 2020. Is this year until WOBC unrated time?

This time is unrated time. Rated time starts after completion of WOBC (when you are "trained"). This is supposed to be time you are acclimating to your unit and developing as an officer. See AR 623-3 and DA PAM 623-3.

Thanks for the answer and reference to the regulation. I learned something new today!

That’s what DA Form 1059 is for, is your school/training evaluation document.

The 1059 covers the WOCS time but she has to wait a long time before she graduates WOBC. That is quite a bit of “blackout” time. My WOBC was three weeks after WOCS so it wasn’t a big deal for me.

CW4 Eric Clayton it will perfectly work! Either splinted by phases or the entire course. E.g. the the Intermediate Leve Education of the Command and General Staff College, is a one year course for O4s. For it we get one single 1059.

MAJ Javier Rivera True but she’s already gone from WOCS and had to wait nearly a year for WOBC. I don’t think a 1059 will cover nearly a year gap between schools. Pretty sure there is a code on the evaluation which covers a gap this large. Either way she knows it’s unrated time.

You will be fine. I was not a pilot. As a WO1 I was the PBO for big windy. 1975 to 1978. Maxed every OER I ever had less one

Sure is! Don’t worry, all is not lost. When you complete WOBC and get to your new assignment, your time then becomes rated. The thing is that you will only be a WO1 with just one OER of a year before you make CW2. No big deal though as you will plenty of opportunities to become more proficient and receive better evaluations.

I guess that's what comes with being given W01 out of WOCS. I was a "Candidate" until I completed my "Tech Course", which was two weeks or less after leaving Mother Rucker. Good luck and welcome to the WOPA.

It all depends on scheduling. My WOCS to BOLC/WOBC time was literally 3 days since I was Aviation and at Rucker.
