Hopefully you can bear with me on this one. My husband is a glorified "mustang" in the USMC. Great man, outstanding leader, all that jazz. Worked really hard to become the best Marine he can ever be. The time is drawing near when I can no longer crack jokes about me coming to the rescue when he gets lost in a maze of one corn stalk. I would love to get him something special for his well-deserved promotion. (I know where your mind has wandered. Bring it back. I'm deployed). It's not easy to shop for him, but I was hoping for the brilliance of the audience's mind in this regard. Things he loves: this woman called Dyna (his Harley Davidson), surfing, food, gadgets. Please allow for a reasonable budget. I'm hoping for a meaningful gift rather than expensive one. Thank you all in advance. Cheers.

on that same line with the compass and the corn field. a hand made, heck you could make it yourself which would mean that much more, walking stick with the compass mounted on the top and corn husk or stocks engraved along its length. This would be a fun, personal, gift with a story for years

Marines and swords. They go together like bread and butter.
