The official date of the founding of the US Air Force is 18 September 1947. Since then the Air Force has regularly demonstrated its value and established themselves as an aerial military group that is second-to-none -- but its history and heritage goes back a lot further.

The Air Force was created because the Navy and Army refused to move the little green men from Rosalind to Wright Pat. Look what it has grown into today from such modest beginnings.
