My Schooling was at a different location. But, the best advice I can give you is, learn how to properly write up a memorandum, Award recommendation, NCOER's and the support forms. Army is making a big push towards EES( Evaluation entry system) and if you are proficient in that, you will have a lot of success. Besdies that, do right by the soldiers! Hope thos helped! Feel free to ask me any questions!

Do you think the elevation will affect the run for the PT test SSG? or is it not that bad? I went there for AT last year and i ran everyday a mile, didnt notice too much of a difference except all the pollen i was pretty sick.

Not sure about the NCOA there, but I can attest from mine and from places other Soldiers I know have been to, you will need to know/brush up on: Leadership, Drill and Ceremony, your oration/speech abilities, PRT, and of course your Land Nav. These areas were the ones that hit Soldiers the hardest.

CPL (Join to see) - Gentleman's course? That's a new one. Certainly don't go in there thinking it will be an easy course. The Cadre aren't there to ensure you fail, but they aren't there to hold your hand, either. Also, one last bit of guidance. You will be given different positions of Leadership (Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, 1SG, etc.), but you will only be graded on your Squad Leader time. When in charge, be in charge. Don't be afraid to give direction and orders. Also, I forgot one more thing you need to brush up/know....OPORDs. Know how to read them and know how to retrieve the info you need. And when briefing your squad, don't forget the back-brief.

Roger! I am not expecting anything easy or for anyone to hold my hand. In fact, id rather it that way. I thrive on learning and being able to teach others. I just also get nervous of the unknown and like to know how to prepare for things ahead of time. Again, thank you for all your advice and guidance SSG. I will certainly check back in after i have finished the course!

Also take very good notes for the in class portions, they will help you on the in class tests.
