"Our main objective," says Team 5 co-founder Eric Linder, "is to locate a very remote location that no one will be willing to travel to because of its remote location, terrain or security and educate local healthcare workers, conduct OJT, set up a temporary clinic and leave supplies so that each village can sustain itself."

Thank you Sir, I thought/hoped it was for real, but was unsure. That was my understanding and I'm very interested in doing something like that, but I'm a pediatric ICU RN and pediatric primary care nurse practitioner, and didn't know if they would consider someone like myself. Being a former Army combat medic, former civilian EMT-CC (NY State), and RN/PNP I would hope qualifies me, but again, I don't know if they need people like me or want 18D's. I googled it, as I read it in an article once (about mission to Peru) and sparked my attention but didn't know if it was a one time thing, or they do this on a regular basis. But I appreciate the help and will do my research.
