Have the women with combat jobs and have made it to the Ranger Regiment and Special Forces actually been fighting along side men, or have they been just for show?

I think its to early in the evolution to get a good read. Operators dont move into SOGs until they have been seasoned. It unlikely that any of the females pushed through infantry, combat engineer or ranger school have developed into that level of expertise.

Let us not forget the Native American women who fought alongside the men and fought bravely. Definitely do remember Lori Piestiwa a United States Army soldier killed during the Iraq War.

Somehow we have come to believe that only white men fought in the Wars that the U.S.A. engaged in. The first casualty of the Revolutionary War a Crispus Attucks, a black man. White men and women as well as Black men and women have fought in just about every war the United States has fought. Think about this. Their were women on the Rock in in the middle of Manila Bay during the Japanese siege in WWII. Do you really believe that they simply cowered in a corner or were magically transported to Podunk Kansas? They were deeply involved in that battle. Unfortunately there part in any of the wars the U.S.A. has been involved in is somehow not given any attention. But then it took a Constitutional Amendment to allow women to vote, so I guess it should not come as surprise. I mean the blacks given the right to vote via Amendment XV to the Constitution in the aftermath of the Civil War. Women didn't get that privileged until the early 20th Century with the XIX Amendment. I guess the answer to your question is Yes women have been involved in military battles since the very beginning of the United States. They just weren't given any credit for their contribution outside of nursing.

John Joseph Your posting from almost two years ago just hit my inbox... You opened a huge shitstorm that totally changed your question from one about Ranger and Special Forces qualified women fighting alongside men to one of transgenders, the Histories by Herodotus, the Revolutionary War ,and even to Custer's defeat at Little Big Horn. Along with that it even brought up the old BS about did they even receive the same training as their male counterparts! Why can't people answer a simple question without trying to stir up the pot? My answer: I never served in combat with women SF... In my era there were no SF qualified women. Had there been, I would have had zero problem fighting along side them and expected them to act and react as all the rest of the team! By the way, this is the first post I have seen that had "Thumbs Down" indicators!

there are women though out world history that have fought well beside men & there husbands,
for example during the old west, wives would fight side by side with there husbands to defend there homes & Families.
as stated by others during the during the American Revolution, and civil war , women have step up to fight, yet these women are the few exemption , not the normal role that women want or seek out to fill.

I have no problem With Women who want to fill a combat roles, as long as they are Physical able ,
my problem is with the Congress & Gov faceless Bureaucrats, forcing the Military to lower the military Physical Requirements, in order to make the woke crowd happy .

this same group of Gov Officials, Faceless Bureaucrats, & women groups, who are demanding more females' in a combat role , yet they will not Volunteer themselves or there daughters. have you notice this ?

it seems like it for some public relations stunt!

I have been saying this for decades, I have no problem allowing women in combat roles, just stop lowering the Physical requirements .
let men & Women compete for the position, may the best man or women win.

Sadly congress & Gov Faceless Bureaucrats love playing games with military personal, forcing the military to lowing the physical requirements, in order to get more females in combat roles.

these same Gov Officials & Faceless Bureaucrats, are consistently telling the American public there is absolutely no differences between a man and a women .

if that is true, there is no need to lower the Physical requirements.
(FYI) I do not believe that is true.

yet I do know this, it is dangerous to both men and women & the Nation to lower the physical standard .

so I beg the political elites to stop this madness of lowering the physical standard , GIVE ONE physical standard For Men & Anther for Women
I have no problem with a man or women that can do the job.
my Problem lies with the pollical elites & Gov faceless Bureaucrats that keep playing politic, this is what getting service member hurt & Killed.
lets not forget, it was a women in the CIA, that found and sent in the seal team to kill or capture Bin Laden, you do not have to be in a elite fighting unit to help keep this nation safe. you just have to be smart

All things being equal, it is rare for a woman to have the same strength as a man. But being a Ranger is tough for any sex. I would say that if anyone can prove to do it, they should. With that said, I'm sure politics is in there somewhere.

Seriously . ? Women have been dying in combat a long time . Jan has a secret special ops all female unit and the are incredibly deadly , including hands and feet . When we are attacked and we will be soon with idiot boy leading, it's going to be all hands on deck for us to survive . Just fyi . We were pinned down in Iraq and a female F-18 pilot out of missles flew danger close to the deck and opened up with cannons taking out the enemy lines . She was flipping them off at the same time . She risked her own life to save ours . I'm trying to get fund raised going for statues of female hero's represented more at VA hospitals and military installations . They don't get the proper credit they deserve .
