"In an attempt to intimidate Western forces, ISIS has released a propaganda video demonstrating their advanced combat techniques

Some of their combat skills include punching clay tiles, tactical rolling, obstructing their muzzles with branches, and maintaining a 3 meter spacing in their soccer mom convoys."

Is this legitimate?

They move about like I do and I'm disabled. But if I did move like that for a day it would put me down a week. lol...But if they come at me I would fight and suffer later in my own bed while they were sleeping in the ground. lol

The only thing impressive here is that they finally found some fighters who aren't so cowardly that they're willing to show their faces.

(talk about not showing faces??) I meant as a question MAJ Joshua Conner. I did put ?? marks if I do that this means a question that I do not understand. I should have worded it talk about not showing faces why are there so many here without pictures?? Many in this comment row have no pictures as you go down and read the comments. And then saw yours about showing faces so I was just wondering why so many do not show theirs here. So I do apologize sir. I just had never seen so many comments on a page without pictures on profiles since I have been on RallyPoint and seen these kinds of comments all on one page. It was starting to make me nervous because this ISIS thing has me a bit on edge and afraid already the way they kill themselves to kill others. And our Mall of America in MN was on their list. That is getting closer to home and what if they are thinking of coming up farther north to the border where I live??
Some times my memory and comprehension is not the best when pain keeps me up to many nights since my stroke. So I have to read things again and again to get it right. 3 times editing here so far to try to get it out right. But I do understand why you did this sir thank you. Always when an officer addresses you in this way it is normally to teach you. I will never forget what my drill Sargent taught me and use it to stay alive now. Thank you again sir and again so sorry.

This was not meant to be against you. It was a sincere question did you see the ?? marks. Maybe I should have worded it differently MAJ Joshua Conner. I am sorry MAJ, I do not look at each persons file who doesn't have a picture. I was looking at several of them and they had nothing on their profiles so I stopped looking at each persons profile. I was actually told to be careful of ones trying to connect with me and say they no me without pictures or information. So I was not meaning anything against you I truly was wondering if it is due to security reasons or what? But now I will read the person's profile before commenting or try to work it differently. But since my stroke to comprehend when I get tired makes me longer winded to try to say things right. I understand why you gave me thumbs down and respect that lesson sir.

This video only shows that they are conducting a semblance of training, which is more than could be said by some extremist elements previously encountered by US forces.

In general, they would be no match for US forces, but they ARE training and have the "advantage" of thinking that even death is a win for them.

Lt is talking about foreign veteran fighters who actually been to actual wars before being deployed to Iraq, such as my own country's hardened Chechen separatists. Those have on some level training equivalent of FSB field agent, which is very effective.

Based on how they fight, ISIS forces seem to have a great deal more organized training in small-unit tactics than the average "spray-and-pray with the AK" AQIZ fighters.

Any force utilizing combined arms and group unit tactics is a threat. That being said, when faced with a well armed, highly trained combat unit they will disintegrate into an asymmetrical force using the "soccer moms" as shields to counter.

No real threat against a well trained and well armed force. They attack weak targets with mass surprise or sneak in suicide bombers. No threat but I am concerned.

This video was ridiculous, but we should be worry none the less because they are armed rebels and they are willing to die none the less.... which brings me to another question, why cant we bring in some delta operators for some direct action on these guys? The operators would be home before lunch

For whatever sake's stop underestimating the enemy. Joke all you want, but regardless of this video, we have people who are willing to kill and die while trying to kill us.

Most of their force are the bunch of criminals, who already been convicted of several crimes even in Islamic world, but decided they got nothing better to do and to join ISIS to fight, thus they are undisciplined and un trained for majority of their units.

Their elite are foreign fighters such as Chechen Mujahedin who had fought Russians (to remind you the second best army in the world), who actually won the first Chechen War and while losing Second Chechen War, still put their hardened experience in dangerous people's hands.

Furthermore, they have captured US military equipment. One of the most fearsome is a small number of Abrams they are using as hardened defense points. Most of their American made weaponry are brand new and have accessories like ACOGs and PAS13, that generous Uncle Sam gave to Iraqi Army.

They have surplus stocks of American made armor, captured from Iraqi army, while our most capable allies fighting (Peshmerga) have nothing but whatever comes in their hand scrounged.

Finally their achievement cannot go unnoticed, where they managed to rout well trained and equipped Iraqi Army within days.

This enemy cannot be underestimated regardless of this video.

I'm not easily intimidated but I also underestimate no one. Assess and find a weakness is what I do. They are definitely a threat to anyone anywhere. Stay vigilant my brothers and sisters. Never underestimate your opponent
