That is normal for the west, it's why the reservoirs were built in the first place, perhaps California shouldn't have stopped building them 30 years ago. Palisades Dam near Jackson Hole was like that for years.

Boy do I know the feeling. My favorite fishing hole in Georgia is only about a 1/3 of what it used to be.

There are pictures/posters up all over here of Folsom Lake before and after... It's bad. The drought has been going on for so long.
