USAA members who already enjoy sharing information and photos with Facebook friends now can send each other money through the USAA Mobile App. Have any of you used this function?

LTC Jason Strickland I love the USAA mobile App! I don't love my FB friends enough to give them money over it. I am all in on Maj Chris Nelson suggestion on being on the receiving end of the transfers!

I don't trust it! If I'm sending a person money it will probably be through PayPal.

SSG (Join to see), I'm not against the app (though I haven't used it nor do I even have it) I'm just wary of using it to send money to people on Facebook.

I wouldn't send money though FB, but USAA is my bank, insurance, and has some of our investments. I trust them as a financial institution, quite different from FB.

SSG (Join to see), I use Navy Federal for my banking needs but all my insurances (auto and home owner's) less motorcycle (which I get from Progressive for USAA members), my mortgage loan, and my wife's bank accounts are all with USAA. I've been with them for 12 years and will never leave them.

The mobile app is an excellent tool for many functions. I've been a member for almost 10 years and I work for USAA as well. If the contact isn't found, it asks if you'd like to go through PayPal, so that option is there. Anything involving the movement of funds is done through a secure channel. But like my peers, Facebook is the element I wouldn't be too partial of. Facebook may just supply the information needed for a funds transfer.
