How can you make your dad let you join JROTC?

Focus on the respect that you will learn and be required to show!

Ask what your dad's objection are. If he's concerned about your going into the military (God forbid!), stress that you just want to associate with a group of people who have self-discipline and self-motivation. (That said, I was a Civil Air Patrol cadet and of my peer group, four of us went into the military and one went into aviation. So yes, it may help set your course in life.} I'd ask your dad to meet with you and the instructor to see if he or she can allay some of your dad's concerns. But I'd have to wonder, who does he want you to associate with? A bunch of druggies?
