MA (Master at Arms) is the Rating, MA1 is the Rate, which is a combination of the Rating and Rank of Petty Officer 1st class

PO1 Scott Sanko - RallyPoint distinguishes the difference in command structure. Command Sergeant Major and Sergeant Major are E-9 ranks in the Army. Similar to Master Sergeant and First Sergeant. The Marine Corps, Navy, Coast Guard and Air Force are similar with their senior enlisted. PO1 is your rank, there are to many rates in the Navy for RallyPoint to consider so a generalized rank of Petty Officer 1st Class, 2nd Class etc is what is used. It is the correct rank. RallyPoint distinguishes the difference with Master Chief and Command Master Chief which are both E-9 ranks. Hope that explains a little. For instance the Marine Corps has E-8 Master Sergeant and First Sergeant and E-9 Master Gunnery Sergeant and Sergeant Major. What differs is their responsibilities in the rank structure.

I understand all of that. So, I'm guessing that it will only show it at E-7 and higher ? Including Officers ? Thank you

I think the issue is coding all of them in the website. There are 9 grades and 12 enlisted ranks for the Army (13 if you count the SMA) and about the same for the air and marines) there would be hundreds for the Navy due to the rate being part of the rank. The current state was probably a compromise.

How do I add my Rank to my name like the others that I've seen? For ex. MA1 ? Instead of PO1?

A sidebar to this topic for me was the length of time it took to get "Lieutenant" out of my name. Covered three ranks and 11 years. Wife told me it was strange to have it between Ensign and Commander. Honey, please don't call me Lieutenant Captain at the next Seabee Ball (punch).

PO1 Scott Sanko Unfortunately our Brothers in Arms don't quite Understand How Important "Rate" is to Sailors, Navy. Respectfully CTO1!

That is not an option next to your name display, however MA shows when your name is highlighted by the viewer. What you are wanting would be the same as everyone having their MOS, Rate, or AFSC on the first line name.
