Recently I've been hearing countless remarks, and seeing posts from soldiers and veterans alike. Down talking our commander in chief. How do you feel about this? Should this be allowed within our ranks? Does freedom of speech really play a part?

In some ways, it might be freedom of speech, but when you swore to the oath, talking trash about whomever the President or Commander in Chief is should be stripped of their citizenship. Just my thoughts.

I think we have a right to criticize our leaders, but remember it has to be smithing our personal space and Not in any official capacity. Never at work and not with junior members. Once RETIRED, it’s our right!

This is an issue now? People were being booted for criticism of Obama. People.openly bashed Trump for 4 years. But now, with a brain damaged man, it becomes an issue?

Active duty military personnel must show respect to the office of commander in chief, if not the office holder himself.

Veterans are more free to express their opinions of the CINC as well as our top military officers when they see the damage being done to our military and the danger to our nation by inept leadership.

But name-calling is never called for, in my opinion.

We active duty, veterans and all others who served, we must respect the institution of the presidency regardless the person who holds the office. We must protect it at all costs

I served during the terms of two of the worse Presidents in history prior to President Biden. While I respect the office and would carry out my oath to follow the commands of those appointed over me, it doesn’t mean I am without an opinion.

I served in the Army from Aug 1974 to Aug 1977. Ford was in office until Jan 1977. Then Carter appeared on the scene. Had I re-enlisted, there was a high chance I would have been sent to Germany or South Korea. I had heard great things about these countries. But with the idiot we had as our commander and chief, I decided I should resign my position. That was honest.

As for other Veterans pointing out the flaws of our current President, I’m not offended. They have a right to their opinion just like I do. Getting offended is a choice and to me indicates poor judgment.

Simple as this... democrats are using the military as their own social justice bullshit playground. Officers agree, highest enlisted have to agree. It's nothing but politics at the top.

In Uniform it’s unacceptable, but out of uniform, I don’t care one way or the other. Last time I checked freedom of speech was protected under the 1st amendment. One other note, I have seen more people talk shit about PRESIDENT (He IS the the one who was Elected in 2020) Trump than any other president. As a Veteran of the Gulf War, Somalia, and OIF/OEF, he was the only president in my time that didn’t get us into a war. He also gave us Veterans Choice. We had $2.00 a gallon of gas, the stock market was great, unemployment was the lowest ever, and everyone’s 401K was on top. Now look what we have. Freedom of speech is something I spent almost 26 years of my life for. Last time I checked we swore an oath to defend the Constitution against ALL enemies Foreign and Domestic. If your not awake to this illegitimate asshole in the office right now, your not doing your job, or upholding the oath you took as a service member. Yes I said that, and I could give two fucks on who doesn't like it. I was an MRC in the Navy, now I’m an Mr. I’ll say what I want, when I want, and I don’t give a dam who doesn’t like it. LETS GO BRANDON! Foxtrot Juliet Bravo.
