How do you think disrespect and trouble makers should be dealt with?

I don't get why there is the need for people who feel the need to start trouble and be disrespectful.. Isn't part of our military code respect? And what happen to being an adult and professional?

Taryn, all sorts of people enter the military, not all compatible with any form of core values. Some don't go far. Some get passed along to retirement. Online many just start trouble because the internet is relatively anonymous...I'm betting even the worst on here doesn't start conversation like that with a stranger in a bar.

I like conversation, friendly, direct conversation. Those that constantly get out of line just to get their rocks off should have their account lockout for a period of time. After, 3 timeouts, ban them.

Hah! Great question...lure in less disciplined shmucks, while tying the hands of those who would enforce decipline. What can I say? I'm a quitter, and decided I wasn't fit to be in the new generation's nco channel, but still wanted to be in the military.

For a community of mutual respect for everyone, one someone soils that respect it brings down the community as a whole.
Visibility is key, if the first post I see when I login to RP is something generally regarded as disrespectful or purposeful bad taste, it is going to affect my view of the site. The same may go for new members.

Here is the deal:
I have a friend who has a Facebook page where you can say " Whatever" you want without persecution. If you are found to be negative to what's being posted, you have no recourse and are booted.
Maybe a section here that will allow something to that effect?

SPC Jeffrey Bly , I don't have any authority to do something like that. It sounds good to me. Send your idea to the administrators so that they can consider it. Thank you, Keith

I think we need a certain amount of free thinkers in every fabric of our society. They are the ones who reel us in we thread too far to other side.
