Shit if you didn't want to be called upon to possibly kill someone; then your coward ass should have joined the Peace Corps.

Didn't you know, the military is just a job with benefits now. Feel good and inclusion are the thoughts of the day. Combat effectiveness is not the driving factor. Rabble rabble rabble. In all seriousness, I'm tired of the entitled attitude and of lack of awareness of what the military is all about. You're complaining about deploying? What did you think was the military's job when you walked into the recruiter's office?

Well I'm back now and I have one question - Since ACU's were no longer worn after October 2019 and the Russo-Ukraine began in 2022, isn't this fake?

Sgt (Join to see) That was back in 2014. So this would line up with that situation.

Fake. If he had said 'dont want to', I would not gripe. But, it says "wont". This means he is either a liar (*which lines up with fake), or he is in violation of UCMJ and should be disciplined by his command fir more than uniform violations. Hey, am I out of line saying "he"? Perhaps its a they/them, or identifies as she? Call me old fashioned, but he/she still seems a lot more polite than 'it'. I suppose I could say "the person in the photo", unless they identify as 'cat', or something else. ..

If you are letting this get to you, you are part of the problem. There is no evidence to support this is a real or fake "Soldier". Move on to promote something tangible. And me, if ordered to go I go, not blindly, but because I took an oath to do so.

So well stated. The issue here isn't what is being posted, the issue is how much damage this unknown person, ostensibly wearing a US Army uniform, can do to the morale and courage, the ready responses of command and troops. This is clearly a political statement by a person who may or may not be on active duty- that hardly matters. What does matter is the willingness of others, some here on this site, and literally untold numbers of other members. It's hard to keep your opinions out of your everyday existence, but when that existence is what you asked for, you have already given up any public response to the job we all do, now, in the past, and in the future.
This person? This coward is what dishonorable really looks like. Shameful. Weak and stupid beyond measure. I doubt there will ever be common knowledge about identity. That doesn't really matter.
What matters is that the person will never convince the strong among us of their right to hold up a piece of cardboard that has any meaning at all.

His statement makes me feel all the better about my service.1st I was NOT drafted, indeed I have a right arm that does not function due to a non reparable fracture to my rt elbow at age 5. I had very little movement at the elbow, so little I actually was prohibited from serving. I was sent a letter from the draft board and from my recruiter.
However I spent 4 m0nths making it looked like I had finally rehabbed
it and even though they spent hrs examining it the intake dr said 'If you think you can do it go get in line. I no longer remember how many times I deceived Drs during training It never came up again till I was medevacked to Walter Reed. By this time it was the fall of 71 and there was no way I was gonna fake my way thru WR. Indeed a Dr gave me 2 weeks convalescent leave and when I returned I was Discharged. I wanted to return to my unit in VN but no way was that going to be allowed so I went home a Vet in 71.
The soldier who held a sign in front his face to hide his id, well I'm glad I never had to depend on someone like you to watch my back. The Military is not a democrccy.IT exists to defend one !!!!

Agreed, PO3 Edward Riddle, and I also thank you SPC Reed for whatever you did to get my uncle "Bull" Thompson back home safe too!

I think this is a great sample of Information Operations, basically a guy in uniform, hiding his face, making a political. Perhaps is part of a PSYOP/IO to see how we react. Obviously, must of us who have deployed, will deployed and will follow orders... regardless of our personal feelings. Yes, if this folks in the various photos should be subject to immediate separation. The military as a whole cannot condone individualism and personal political views to affect the performance and execution of our duties.

Stupid. He/she is hiding their face for likely one of two reasons.
1. This person is not really in the Army, and possibly expect people to just buy it.
or
2. This person knows that making such statements in uniform is against regulation and therefore knows
that he/she would get into trouble.
Either way, he/she is clearly stupid.
