Is it similar to getting promoted in the Regular Army where some soldiers get promoted the following month after earning promotable status? I have already completed ALC and SSD 2.

How soon did you just recently come off of AC to RC? As long as you have all of your documentation....and as long as your Reserve S1 and/or RPAC have all of the proper paperwork in the system.....up to and including the USAR Promotion Packet Composition, Elections and Preferences filled out....you should receive orders fairly soon. Probably as soon as 1 March. The Promotion Packet Composition, Elections and Preferences is probably THE MOST important form in your packet. This is the form that tells your Readiness Division (the ones that cut your promotion orders) how far you are willing to travel to promote. For example: If you are willing to travel 200 miles for promotion, and there is a unit within 75 miles that has an open SSG slot for your MOS....you are going to be promoted into that slot. Now....if you say you are willing to travel 400 miles for a promotion but the only unit that has an open SSG slot with your MOS but is 401 miles.....you will not be promoted. If you have not completed this form....you will not be promoted in the USAR. If you don't have this form...or your unit/BN can't get you this form....hit me up and I will send you the form. You can find me in Enterprise. I am the only Thomas Patrick Livingston in Global for the Army

How many phases of ALC do you have? I know some have 2 phases, and some have 3.
