I have self-published 25 books ranging from my memoirs to technical references (like Missile Flight Simulation) to textbooks (like Predictive Analytics using R). I have used a few self-publishing services. For the last 21 books, I have used Lulu.com.

Sir, self publishing is great but I would recommend Smashwords or Createspace (Amazon). Both are free, very user friendly. They don't charge upfront publishing fees only a small percentage per sale (like traditional publishers do).

I have used several and the Amazon services are not the best. I have published 22 books through Lulu.com. It is free, user-friendly, with no publishing fees and I set the royalty margin.
