I was doing field rotation that had open showers and had a thought about Transgender personell and how the be treated by other personell. I talked to a female an she said she upset if transwomen in her shower if they still had there male genitals. I asked a male the same thing and he said he wouldn't care. He said "If they identify as a man I will treat them like a man". How would you personally feel about this.

ADMIN NOTE: Be respectful to other RP members who may be in the transgender community.

It is a basic fact, and lawful that only a valid FEMALE may use female designated facilities (while females are present). Same for female focused regulations, specifications, standards. Any male must meet the Male criteria. It is essential to unit readiness, good order and conduct, most elements of "military".
There was a time when men were prosecuted for invading women's showers, barracks, ... why would it be OK now?

I feel sorry for most of you guys! Soldiers should not have to read or hear this crap. We used to have one mission and that was to defend and win this countries battles. Now you have diversity training???? I am old and glad I won’t have to live to see things degenerate much further than they already have. This woke nonsense will be the death nail to this country if we don’t start seeing some commonsense return to the command and staff. I am sorry if a few people in this country are confused about what sex they are, should be, or were born in the wrong body. That is not something the military should try to remedy, accommodate, or correct. Life is not fare and I am sorry if a few individuals do not fit into regular male or female rolls the military has to offer, but that’s not what taxpayers should be paying for. We should focus on what works the most efficiently and least burdensome for men and women serving. Scientific facts that show someone needs to be addressed as a different than assigned at birth pronoun; or it can cause mental distress; should be used as an automatic 4F designation (if they still use that classification for not eligible for military service). The mental anguish all this crap must be creating for a lot of soldiers could simply be avoided with a few short words. I think its about time that we adopt a “Thank you for volunteering but we do not have a position for you at this time” policy to make the most of the general population able to fill the needs of our military. Is this too much to ask? I fear so with the current administration and selected military leaders appointed to champion this unneeded burden.

Well, generally, about the "Cultural" transition taking place in the military, my granddaughter got pregnant in basic training. I don't remember anyone getting pregnant when I was in basic training during the Vietnam era. Not sure how getting pregnant helps the mission readiness obligation.

Right, young men & women, some maybe away from home for the first time, young hormones raging, will hookup given the chance. My point being co-ed living introduces a "Human Life" (sexual) dimension that will "NEVER" change. So with that in mind, I see a co-ed combat military creates a huge, natural, distraction that chips away from mission readiness and effectiveness not to mention additional logistical burden. Perhaps my reference "I don't remember anyone getting pregnant when I was in basic training" was not explicit enough to mean those problems did not exist then because the men and woman were separate.

Men are from Mars, and women are from Venus, all other are from Uranus.

Basically, they'll push it until women file sexual harassment suits for forcing them to shower with men.
