I spent 8 years in as a SEABEE. I earned my (SCW). I was a Builder Second Class Petty Officer and I have felt with this a few times. The only for sure way that I found to deal with this situation is to make them remember that they signed a contract to serve and protect against all enemies foreign and domestic so feeling wronged and telling your NCO no about a job isn't going to matter and give them a kick in the ass. If you have to show them you will stand your ground take them to the nearest connex box or somewhere quiet and council them (beat the hell out of them) and if anyone asks y'all fell down the stairs. This will ensure they know ya aren't taking no for an answer

Make him do push ups until he tears his pectoral muscles and biceps. There is no need for smart asses in the military. If he can't do at least 300 push ups dishonorable discharge!
