Here's the background. You're a senior E5. Your troops are in formation and you're handing out work for the day. You hand out an assignment to a fresh E2 with less than a year in and only a few months at your command. They blatantly complain and tell you to choose someone else. You calmly tell them they will do this task and they tell you to shove it and give it to someone else. How do you react?

I will bring him to an office with another Supervisor and talk tontje person find out what going on, why he is refusing tondonthe staff and find out thats going on in his personal life that could be effecting his judgment. I will remaind her or her what he duties are and what will be the concicuenses for not following an order, hopefully they will follow the order after that, if not i will advice my Superior of the situation regardless if he or she does the task or not.

If the choose to do the task, i will make sure the understand and the know how to execute the task by either assigning some one that can assist in the process and training and at tue end of the task i will verify if the job is completed properly at that time i can either praise or train the person depending on the completed job.

Handle it swiftly and in a way that everyone in formation "gets it". If something doesn't get handled immediately, and if it's not perfectly clear the first time, it's pretty useless.

When I joined the army 1984,was thought to do what your told, pay attention to detail, because if you don't it could cost you, your life and the lives of my platoon. YOU have people joining the military that has no respect for their own self. This is no free ride.A punch in the throat want leave a mark.If you disrespect that's what happens. We as U.S. Soldiers set examples. Not made of one!

I would tell them once that they are out of line and that they will do as ordered. If they persisted I would stand them at attention, dismiss the formation and immediately bring them before the 1SG/CO with a recommendation to convene an Article 15 hearing. I would recommend that the individual spent the next two weeks on extra duty, lose a stripe and lose $150.00. If they still persisted in their imbecilic behavior - I would recommend that the individual be subject to a Chapter 14 . There is no room for impertinence or insubordination in the military - PERIOD. If you don't understand that - don't enlist. There are no safe spaces, no teddy bears and no pacifiers. Either perform your duty or pay the price.

Can you say "BILGES"? Time to take a tour into the bilges and DIVE, DIVE, DIVE !! This puke and a couple others should do the trick. You don't have to kill the whole heard, just kill a couple in front of the heard.

In the corp I came from , this boot would have been picking his sorry ass up off the deck.My platoon picked up 4 or 5 guys who just could not get there shit in one sack. They never did make it to the fmf, and once there you did what you were told to do or you ended up in an nco meeting at 1630.

Probably slay everyone for his deficiencies the next morning at pt then explain in front of his leadership why we just slayed ourselves then I'd let his leadership work on him if there is no change then you pull his leadership aside and council him and the E2 before the E2 screws his own career

With today's restrictions , hard to figure how to handle. Perhaps some training on how to beat whatever he was holding to the ground to the "position" a few times,,,as well as the rest of the barracks. Done enough times hie squad would show him how to curbhis mouth
