Here's the background. You're a senior E5. Your troops are in formation and you're handing out work for the day. You hand out an assignment to a fresh E2 with less than a year in and only a few months at your command. They blatantly complain and tell you to choose someone else. You calmly tell them they will do this task and they tell you to shove it and give it to someone else. How do you react?

Look at Airman dipshit straight in the eyes for a long five seconds. Calmly request said Airmen to Remove themselves from the formation. Out of earshot from the rest of the flight, Inquire of Airmen "D" if they are deaf or just stupid, then state, "I certainly hope it's the first option, Form up princess." Hey ... Everyone makes mistakes sometimes, It's the second infraction that could be a problem.

If this gets any further than the E-5, fire him and hire another one. Squad leaders take care of their squads, platoon sgt's their platoon. The 1SGT handles the platoon sergeants. Done any other way is weak shit.

Bed post him for the day and have him take his boots off and rest in bed....maybe even have two of the bigger guys in the unit rub his feet. Then excuse the MEN to go do his and their assignments. I'm sure someone will adjust his attitude.

"Standby for instruction" Dismiss the rest of the division. Provide extra military instruction on how to correctly accomplish the given task, followed by instruction in how to properly maintain the cleanliness of the division spaces, sleeping quarters, and administrative offices over the proceeding two to three weeks.

I'm a Sailor, so, I love to make them swab the decks, lol.

Counter with the appropriate statement, "Excuse me Private!? You stand fast, I will deal with you in a minute. The rest of you fall out and get on your assigned tasks I will catch up with you when I am done with this disrespectful individual."

I had this happen once as Plt sgt a private that I had addressed continued to walk down the hall of the barracks after calling to him 3 times he turn flip me off said f-you and enter his room . So as any NCO would do I proceeded down the hall kick his door in and retrieved said private when I was finished he went to Top I was informed good job, but don't make a habit of it . Never had a problem with him again.

Well, when I was about to pick up Cpl. I do recall using my demon voice with a new check in Marine, after a similar situation. A one time event, however I'm quite certain it rang up and down every corridor of the squadron. He ended up being a great Marine after that day.

I'm Old School and Would Get Busted Today, But In The Old Day I Would Put Him At Parade Rest and By The Time I Got Through Chewing His A-- & Reading Him His Rights Under The UCMJ, He Would Be Begging For The Next Detail With A Smile. ( Like I Said, Old School, Drafted 1966 and Completed 21 Years Of Service)

Take him to a side room with his Squad Leader and blast that little shit into the Stone Age... punish behind closed doors but make sure everyone in the shop can hear it.
