How would you react to an E2 who "smart mouths" you in formation?

Here's the background. You're a senior E5. Your troops are in formation and you're handing out work for the day. You hand out an assignment to a fresh E2 with less than a year in and only a few months at your command. They blatantly complain and tell you to choose someone else. You calmly tell them they will do this task and they tell you to shove it and give it to someone else. How do you react?

First of all he has no right to open his mouth in formation and if he so defiantly says he won't do the job he should get his ass whipped and more responsibility should be place upon him and if it isn't done within a certain time period he should get an article 13 to begin with and id he is still defiant then he should be areseted and shoved into the guardhouse for an undetermined length of time.

Tell the pvt look the 1st sgt told the platoon sgt ,the platoon sgt told me,and now i'm telling you,now you do your damn job as ordered,or when me and the Army are through with you .you will do your job as ordered. Then carry through.

DS would have knock me on my ass, then PT'd the whole platoon so I got a soap party later that night
