I am being told to go to PT by the command on only 4-5 hours of sleep. As a junior enlisted, how do I solve this problem?

We have a new 1SG and new commander. The 1SG noticed one day that only 5 people in the whole company showed up to PT. Now he put out to all the platoon Sergeants that everyone must show up to PT at either the 0530 formation or the 1600 formation.
However, my section is the only one in the hospital that has a 1600-0000 shift. I am being told by my first line that the 1SG says that I have to be at the morning formation, no exceptions.
I don’t want to sound like I’m whining but at the same time it’s unfortunate that I have to explain to myself as to why this isn’t right.
As a junior enlisted I do feel stuck.
How do I bring this issue up and solve this effectively and professionally?
Also: Do you know of any Army Regulations that can support anything?

If your job won't let you PT on their time, ensure you are at 0530 formation. Manage time and rest accordingly. That's assuming you are not on any type of restricted duty, such as medical. Extra watches are common for USN sailors, often restricting crew rest to minutes. So it could be worse. Offer it to your leaders at work as a solution for others. Readiness, Fitness and restricted rest is all in your contract indirectly.

Well precious, you do what everyone in the army has been doing for 100's of years. It's called the chain of command, you have a legitimate issue with the hours, however, if you're not coming up with a solution and pushing it up that's on you. In the meantime get your ass up and go to PT. You will still have plenty of time for rest before your 1600 shift.
Seriously?! Suck it up Negative Nancy! You are expected to guard this Great Nation with little or no sleep! I guess you’ve never stayed on post for (3-4) days straight or humped (50) miles in (2) days while sleeping with 70lbs packs! The “ME ME ME Generation PUSSIES” are not for the US MILITARY! Do NOT reenlist! How embarrassing to read your unsat excuse for a life! Would like some CHEESE with that WHINE?! Semper Fi to the dedicated…

military life is all about sleep deprivation. There were times when i would literally go days w/o sleep. or as another commented stay out till and be in the 0600 pt formation. i suggest you find a civilian job

You are an E-4. The 1SG has issued an order, therefore you are required to attend pt., end of discusion. You are in the Army obey your orders.

Yeah. What you’re gonna want to do is suck it up. That should take care of it.
