I am being told to go to PT by the command on only 4-5 hours of sleep. As a junior enlisted, how do I solve this problem?

We have a new 1SG and new commander. The 1SG noticed one day that only 5 people in the whole company showed up to PT. Now he put out to all the platoon Sergeants that everyone must show up to PT at either the 0530 formation or the 1600 formation.
However, my section is the only one in the hospital that has a 1600-0000 shift. I am being told by my first line that the 1SG says that I have to be at the morning formation, no exceptions.
I don’t want to sound like I’m whining but at the same time it’s unfortunate that I have to explain to myself as to why this isn’t right.
As a junior enlisted I do feel stuck.
How do I bring this issue up and solve this effectively and professionally?
Also: Do you know of any Army Regulations that can support anything?

Plenty of time to sleep during the day. It’s all about time management. Drill Sergeants gets less time than that during their time in the trail. Try working for 15-18 hours a day and still gotta do PT and more. Looks like you picked the wrong job.

You know you joined the military right? You adapt and overcome… And also those who stay out all night and party then do PT is on them… but in your case, yes, perhaps there should “maybe” be a time slot change. But you have to remember, there isn’t one during war time and this is good “practice”… I was glad we went through rough times before the real thing… as it made us much more better prepared.

I never knew what an 8 hour work day was like as an MP. Normally 12-16+ a day. Suck it up buttercup!

Guess what cupcake? Be glad you are only having to do PT on 4-5 hours of straight sleep. Regs use to state when I was in that you were suppose to be given 4-6 hours sleep but not consecutive. My advice is stop bitching, grow up, and take on the challenges you said you would.

Well to begin with, you are whining! What you need to do is get with program and Soldier up! Just to think that you are tomorrows Leader and can’t do something as little as doing PT for one hour. If I were your First Leader I would Counsel the whole squad on job and responsibilities! why don’t you write a Letter to General Milley, he may excuse you from PT!

It's the military lifestyle. We are not supposed to be soft. Sometimes you will go days without sleep, and still C/M.

Obviously it's the POG's that can't handle it. They've obviously never deployed or if they did, never left the wire.
