I came down DA Select for recruiting, but Brigade is trying to fence me in for a Korea rotation before my school date. How do I avoid this?

Currently in korea looking to redeploy before too long. Been on station 7+ years and they already have deleted my orders once in order to retain me for deployment.

Not sure if have already done a broadening assignment but doing a tour as a Recruiter, DS, AIT PSG, SGL, or instructor is almost a a most for all CMF. The reason all the details above usually yield a higher promotion rate is because they suck by are a necessary evil.

Once USAREC find someone it gets them.
Hope you like detailed recruiter and hope you get your dream sheet location.

Check with your branch manager and the USAREC folks and ask them what their posture is. Recruiting Duty is one that DA takes very seriously - like DS - and most likely will happen.

Depends on what you are looking for. If you want to become a recruiting NCO you can advise your branch manager on what is happening. If not, let your unit do what it is that they are planning on doing.

Recruiting takes priority if I am not mistaken. Call Branch to cut you an order. In the mean time, work hard wherever you are.

I tried my hardest 3 years ago to get out of my DA select to recruiting well I lost and everyone I spoke to said politely I lost. I wish you luck on your recruiting endeavor! Network while you are there and make great connections, stay out of Dallas lol.

I guess that only Works on Recruiter, I have a buddy that came up DA Selected for Drill Sergeant School and the CSM made the decision for HRC and got his orders deleted. Just for one (not 2) 4/3 NCOER and he was NCO of the Quarter in his previous unit before arriving to Fort Stewart, he received a 3/3 and a 2/2 after that 4/3. That tells me that he improved since then.

Go see your BN CSM ASAP.
Even if USAREC wants you and since the BDE is on another "patch chart", DA also recognizes the "rotational BDEs to KOREA" is a brand new paradigm which requires new rules that FORSCOM & HRC have been given permission to stipulate. It hasn't been written yet but rumor has it they are trying..... that being said....go see your BN CSM.
I'm certain there are ways to get it accomplished, above the table....but "creatively"

Normally, DA is the approving authority for any stop movement. Most of these positions such as Recruiter, Drill Sergeant, etc are based off of MOS requirements.
