If he/she is your Best at anything; then you leave that individual be until it is time for them to do said Mission and be their Best. Never pressure someone who is a genius or gifted at their skill/craft. This kind of behavior creates shame within an individual and may either cause complete disassociation or withdrawal completely; or prove the Institution wrong.

50/50 is not a good bet people. Do better.

Evidently, the commander does not know the military regulations in reference to a soldier ETSing from the military. With only 20 days left, he should be given that time for preparing to take care of business for out processing. Usually they give the soldier 15 working days for out-processing not counting the weekends. Never heard of such a thing unless the CO had a problem with that soldier!!

I seen this happen one time when I was in the USMC, both Marines had under a month left to do before getting out, If I remember right the standard for the 3 mile run was something like 30-32 minutes long story short about 45 minutes later those two came skipping across the finish line and I do mean skipping .

Yes, he has to do it; however, pass it, I doubt it. RECOMMEND leave time or appointments which prevent testing during the next 20 days. If he/she fails, are they going to extend him/her? NO. But, if there is a failure to follow an order, that can result in bigger issues.

I don't think they should have to do it, if they would've RE-UPed, then Yes they should have to do it. If a Soldier is 30 days or less, the unit has already has someone to take their place, that person starts learning the position

Even though I was retiring from my last unit in 2008, when my number came up for the PT test, I knocked it out. If this Soldier has to do this PT test, just do it and get it over with.
