I'm in a deployable unit. What's the fastest way to deploy?

Don't get hurt. Don't end up on a medical dental hitlist. Keep up with your pme/annual training etc. If you're in a deployable unit, then the only thing that matter is when your number gets called. You'll get your shot so relax. There is no "fastest way" to deploy. Most deployment rotations are scheduled way in advance. 1 squadron goes out. Next squadron goes out to replace them. Next squadron in line goes to replace them. Rinse and repeat. Just find out when your squadron is slated to deploy and then sit back and wait.

In a plane, although I suppose we will have a faster way eventually. Possibly teleport in to fight and be back home for dinner. I'm kicking around a few ideas I'll send to the Pentagon.
Haha, seriously if you're already in the Marines and with your unit there's not much you can do. It's all about waiting your turn now.

As supply u can get one easy. Army has MOBCOP to look into volunteering. Not sure if the Corp has something similar. I'd say network network network. The more marines you know in essential positions the better off you are

LCpl (Join to see) - ok yeah volunteer. Get your annual and fiscal year training done. Get qualified in your MOS and go to LCPL's seminar if you haven't already. Basically just get PME complete. Plenty of east coast deployments right now. Spain, Kuwait, other SPMAGTF stuff

You can volunteer to go with a small group of individual augmentees or go with a future advance party. However, don't take it personal if you don't get selected. I always chose Soldiers with experience for these types of limited personnel missions. Deploying without your unit can be a real steep learning curve, and I looked at the Soldiers combat experience, assets and liabilities. Bottom line, I agree with 1SG Kindsrand.

LCpl (Join to see) - Are you new to the fleet? What is your MOS? That make a big difference.

My MOS is Supply SSGT. We are attached to everyone. I'm attached to a unit with 2 already out and 1 coming up. I'm not projected to leave because the Unit we're attached to is bigger then us and has there own supply.

It's hard when you are in such a large MOS. Bring it up to your NCO's that you want to deploy. If all else fails, after 2 years on station request to submit an AA form requesting orders to a deploying unit.
