I actually had to look the new metric up to see what this was about, in my day anyone could be an 11 series, but it seems you are shy 3 points, I would study some more and retake the ASVAB hoping to up your score. I am not a recruiter but the higher teh score the more jobs you qualify for.

You will have to speak to the retention folks who know the latest and greatest rules, policies and regulations, I would never say never but the folks in the know would have a better grasp about whats available to you. I would really look into what and Infantryman is other than recruitment videos. Its a special job all its own, thats an inside morbid joke. good luck.

11X isn't an MOS. The easiest way to reclass to 11B is to pass Ranger School. It's easier to get a Ranger School class seat than an 11B reclass seat on active duty

MSG Joseph Cristofaro coming in, yes. But reclassing while in the Army is limited to class seats, and 11B class seats have been surprisingly scarce the last few years. I know...weird

SFC (Join to see) - I am curious if that has anything to do with Big Army reorganizing it's Infantry Brigades to have less Infantry units. NG faced a similar oversupply of 11B's when it did state reorgs back when my Nephew enlisted around 2007.

SPC Erich Guenther that did cause 11B to be massively under strength for about two years. But I think it's because Recruiting accessions got all the slots and reclass gets none of them.

Which makes sense because in ten years I've never had a single person come in and ask to reclass to combat arms. The people who do want to do that go to SF or Ranger Regiment

SFC (Join to see) - Interesting. Ranger and SF were too physically intense for me and I never regret passing on either. I thought it was smart they recruited SF from the Active Duty Infantry Battalions though, they got a lot of people that way.
