I want to deploy ASAP. I just left the IRR and joined the reserves. Does anyone have any resources that I can use to deploy?

Get into your HRC profile and change your Volunteer Status to VOLUNTEER. You can also try looking up MOBCOP website. Also, get with your Chain and talk with your S3 to see if there are opportunities.

An active duty recruiter. Dude, you're a PV2, you're interchangeable with everything from a pile of lukewarm dogshit, to some something just not quite as warm. And a PV2 just coming from IRR and going reserves? What in the everloving hell is wrong with your story?

I had some pt issues in the past and i got a medical discharge. I spent 4 years in the national guard. I was a pfc but i was demoted right before i left because i couldnt pass my pt, due to medical reasons but i found a way back in the military and I'm fighting like hell to finish what i started.

SPC(P) (Join to see) - Okay! You are already medically discharge per your statement, but you want to come back in! The answer would be simply the following:
- be fully cleared for duty with NO RESTRICTION by a bonafied physician
- that requires passing a medical exam, psychological exam and several other battery tests
There's a reason why you were discharged and considering you have been out with PT issues, the chances of you coming back is quite slim or none! Perhaps you might want to consider taking charge of "YOU" and got get the treatment you need to stabilize your PT, get a VA rating if you have not already done so and other good sense stuff you can do.

I love that people decide to be dramatic in their statements 2 years after the fact. A little late y'all

Tour of Duty website is the best site for reserves or national guard looking to deploy or just get a temporary active duty mission.

If you are going to a reserve unit, they should reclass you to an MOS that fits their needs and that you agree to.

You are not in a particularly in-demand field as a fueler. We just aren't doing much in the way of maneuver warfare.
Are there any other MOSs that are of interest to you? Medical, Civil Affairs, Intelligence, and SF are what are in high demand right now.

1SG (Join to see) - yes waiting on him to see if he can find me a slot in a unit and that will reclass me.

SPC(P) (Join to see) - I found two positions advertised. One in Riverton, and one in Bluffdale, UT. There are likely more available in the Reserve, but I'll keep it in your assigned component, for now.

SPC(P) (Join to see) - I get irritated when a troop tells me that they asked a perfectly reasonable question of the guy whose sole purpose in life is to work this, and they are told to wait.

I have done this sir. My unit just told me to start calling the different units in my area and asking if they are deploying anytime soon

Their should be some one in your RSC that handles mobs, if you have an MOS or a need and the RSC has a unit that needs the bodies they can pull you from your unit, providing your unit is willing to release you, and in some cases even if they do not wish to release you, the RSC has the command authority to cross level you into a deploying unit. Some one in your training section should know who that officer who handles MOBs is.

The two other NCO's here are on point and have precisely the correct answers.
However. Just want to add, it can be -incredibly- difficult, especially as a PV2. Use these resources, but don't wrap too much faith in it actually happening.
