In the 3rd grade there is no reason to be studying anything about sexuality, be homosexual, heterosexual or bisexual. Stick to math, reading and things like that.

I would pay him a visit.
If that did not result in an understanding, the Principal would be my next stop.
If that did not provide satisfaction, the School Board would be the next stop, and the PTA would get the word to see if I was an outlier.
If I was the problem, I'd reassess to determine if I had misunderstood. If so, I would move on from it. If not, a more public approach would be next.
Failing that, my child would be changing teachers at least, schools maybe.
Mistakes happen. I think that what the teacher did next would tell the tale. The fact he resigned on principle speaks volumes to me about where his head was at.

HELL no. Anybody who knows me here on RP knows my stance on homosexuality. With that said a Third Grade classroom is no place for discussions on ANY type of sex.
