This was an old post here on RallyPoint, but it's still a great question today RP Members. Let's give it another shot for the new Connections out there!
If you were ask this question during an interview what would your answer be?
Let's get some real participation here for those active service members getting ready to transition, so they have this in their tool kit. This is just one of the top interview questions potential Employers could ask you.
Let's see what we can get from all the RallyPoint Membgers on this one!
What is that one key word that will make you stand out above the rest of the competition?
Think about it - this is a big question!

Committed.
I hire and fire, and what I look for is commitment, to family, learning and to excellence.
Family and one's faith come first, but not always. We honor our employees commitment to family, and work with them to resolve issues and challenges so that they can remain focused at work. We look for people committed to learning, getting better, setting goals, even if they include leaving the company someday. With mutual respect for the mission of the company and the mission of the individual to excel, you have a good chance of working with a lot of go-getters! The commitment to excellence is paramount. This means doing one's best every day. It means realizing one is a part of a whole and we are only as good or as strong as our weakest link. Excellence means achievement and a never-quit attitude. Cream rises to the top, and your best performers are committed to being the best at what they do! Hooah!

Most of the time I would probably say... Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence in All I Do, but then after they get that confused look ....I would probably say Steadfast!

I’m better then a pocket on a shirt. All that reduced to one word. “HIM” just have your people get in touch with my people and I’ll get back to you if I’m decide you are someone that I would work for.
