If your last meal had to be an MRE, which one would it be?

So many good ones to choose from. Hmmmm.... The dehydrated pork patty eaten raw. Since I'll be stiff as a board shortly thereafter might as well go for it!

Beef Pot Roast. that's the one I always try to grab; usually out of the hands of some PFC.

I remember water soaking the Dehydrated pork patty for 8 hours years ago, it was still crunchy in the center. Before the heaters, I ate plenty of frozen mealcycles if we didn't have a motor to heat them on, that was always a real pleasure. I always liked the old pork and beans though. Out of the new ones, chili is my favorite.

It would be the chili mac. Wait, what's happening? "Last Meal"... Did I do something that bad?

Four Fingers of Death...and since it's my last meal, I'd add some of that jalapeno cheese they have now and a good old-fashioned oatmeal cookie bar (the one that blew up 100 times its size like a sponge in a puddle) for dessert...and a pack of Charms for GP...

I hated it when the Charms turned into that dried white battery acid looking material.

The number 8, ham slice meal. It was a huge honkin' slice of ham (obviously with tobacco sauce), but it also had the the oatmeal bar crumble.
I've used that oatmeal bar on more than one occasion to field repair a coolant leak in a BFV. Crumble that sumbitch up and pour it into the cooling system...you're good for another 50 clicks before you need to open another MRE.
It'll stop a Bradley up as fast as it will a SPC on 6 weeks of maneuvers.

CPT John Hermida, you might be surprised sir, at how many times fixes like that happen in the field. When I was going through AIT at FT. Knox forever ago, we had a class in this kind of creative repair - BDAR. I didn't learn this particular trick in that class, but it was stressed to us that as mechanics, it was our job to keep the platoon rolling...no matter what kind of monkey fixes you had to deploy in order to get it done. That oatmeal bar trick was one of my favorites though.

Funny, I don't like ham but I did like the MRE ham slice. It's good for muslim repellant also.

I've not tried all the new menus, but the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy is high on the list, and anything with with an ingredients list that begins with "pork, mechanically separated, chunked and formed..." is on the bottom...

I'm surprised how many people said something besides Chili Mac. Because the answer is most definitely Chili Mac.
Top notch "entree" plus Skittles, jalapeno cheese spread, and they leave out the wheat snack bread...hard combo to beat.
