In general, why is modern society so quick to cry "racism"?

I see links on RallyPoint all the time. Brexit, politics, Red Cross posters, officer-involved shootings... it used to be that if you were a conspiracy theorist, you were the only weirdo in the room. Now, it's like having tattoos... everyone's got 'em. Why does the general public latch on to racism as the root cause of so many issues?

She was one of the smartest persons in the room, but until this movie came out very few knew that.

"If the world hates you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you." - Jesus, the anointed One, see John 15:18, Amen. Please read and study John 15:17-27. Hate and "racism has nothing to do with the individual. It is all about who the individual chooses to follow. Walk in faith, speak in truth. Be blessed.

Some Democrats have flipped the script. Nobody says it's racist when President Biden would say in his election campaign, you ain't black, if you don't vote Democrat! Now there is reverse racism, the people who are playing victim now pounce on any African American who happens to be a Republican. The Democrats often lie saying they're into diversity, equity and inclusion but then when you have someone like Senator Tim Scott running for president, or any other Republican candidate or hold of office are often called token, house negro, the dreaded n-word by African Americans themselves! That's why presidential candidates Larry Elder made the movie Uncle Tom.
So it is our duty to explain to the radical left that calling somebody of the same race as yours a bad word because they happen to be on a different political party, you're insinuating that they don't have a brain and that they're a prop or a token, or the black face of white supremacy or some other stupid statement that doesn't make any sense!
Yes, I'm talking to you leftist hypocrite angry MSNBC commentator Joy Reid!

They went totally crazy when lieutenant governor Sears was a Republican. They put her down even though she has her own business was a prior service Marine. They were calling her Uncle Tom and a bunch of other bad names.

An allegation of"Racism" immediately works to silence an opponent in an argument or dispute, no matter how wrong, or right the accuser...you can't prove that you aren't a racist (It is always impossible to prove a negative). The word "racism" gives power to the accuser...the power is waning, however, as people realize that race-baiting ( making untrue allegations of racism) is a racist technique.

Great question. The whole racism issue has been way too politicized and generalized. The term racism has been used in many circumstances that I don't believe are actually racist. Because the word has been used way to often in many circumstances, it has been watered down.
First of all, its human nature to prefer to be around like minded folks. That may or may not have anything to do with the color of someone's skin. Is that racist to think that way? I don't think so, but many may not agree with me.
I think that a lot of those differences are more cultural based then race based. Different cultures have different priorities. I may not like a certain group of folks based on their actions. Because they may have a different color of skin than me, I may be perceived as racist because I am judging them or am critical of their actions.
My biggest issue is that some folks call you racist just for asking the question. Its important, that as people, we can discuss our issues rationally and try to see things from others points of view. But if we cant even have the discussion, then we will get nowhere.

It is a quick way to stop the discussion. The current trend is to ignore and even prevent other persons' opinions from even being brought out into the open. It is a selfish methodology and counter to the ideals of our country.
Examples: BLM happens and all those that say instead that All Lives Matter are racist, Trump says we need to vet Muslims entering the country is racist (even though Islam is not a race), etc...

Interesting question. Those who are "minorities" feel that they continue to not have the same opportunities as whites in America. Although race is not an accurate reflection of humans, we continue to separate individuals by the color of their skin. Although there are laws giving everyone equal rights, there are many groups and individuals who consider themselves superior. As we are more aware through media and education of the amazing diversity of humans at the DNA level, unless you have over 2 % Neanderthal in your DNA, you are mostly a homosapien. Society in American is a reflection of great diversity and we need to tag it somehow. Change racism to diversity, ethnicity, or sanctioned bigotry! Even calling someone a minority is pretty offensive IMHO. I also believe there is ignorance, socialization issues, continued lack of integration, fear mongering

The narrow minded of all races and all walks of life share a common thread: they fear the unknown, the outwardly different, and things they can’t comprehend. Therefore in their ignorant attempt to justify their shortcomings, then they must necessarily label it as racism. The tolerant cannot tolerate the intolerable, which IS a “logical opposing viewpoint.”.
