I kind of enjoyed the Battalion runs, and the Brigade run was interesting. It was slow but if you had good people calling cadence it was alright. Only downside to a Brigade run is how early you have to start to get all those people in place.

It’s just a run , most of us ran every day, so what? Company PT was usually easier the Gunny didn’t exactly set a blistering pace.

a long time ago there were fun running cadences - some were really horrible for racism, sexism, X-rated, drug and alcohol use - I really wouldn't have minded getting rid of some of them - but, boy, they were fun. Then at some point in the early '80's the Army stopped them all. We're running along someone starts a cadence and the CO shouts "you can't sing that"!, starts another cadence with the same reaction, and again , and again, and again. Until we get to something so bland, it's not worth it. Some of those cadences I could really do without, and probably really un-printable, but others I though were just fine that were now on the prohibited list. Soon after saw a letter to the editor of the Army Times complaining about the change; the official response was not 'those songs are terrible, and we are better than that' the official response was 'those songs never existed'. I'll now risk one "I can run to LA just like this, drink a keg of beer and never have to piss"! BANNED!

SSgt Joseph Baptist - Yes down votes for the garbage you post. Your only the best and the only one that knows about leadership. Then post crap about it all being a Lie and how it is all the upper leadership and you condem them for what they do and say then take personal shots about leadership calling them Toxic, condemning upper leaders with no proof, Calling a counseling form bad paper, Yep down votes each time.
About time some one tells you the truth your not the best leader you admitted to lack of moral courage, you admitted to disobeying lawful orders yet proclaim your self as some kind of self made Hero status where every one else is wrong. We were Taking care of Soldiers as leaders way before you came along but now were all suddenly stupid and toxic. You seem to have a chip on your shoulder when it comes to Senior leaders. So best you will ever get from me unless you change is a Down Vote.

This is all your post not mine: Simply calling it a "fun run", and then forcing your people to run in formation not only doesn't make it fun, but it also undermines the credibility and moral authority of the unit leadership. Your opinion.

If those mofos in the head-shed are going to lie to you about a PT event, then how can you trust them to tell you the truth or treat you fairly? And yes, that is a serious question, because integrity is an all or nothing deal... Because your Idea of a fun run differs does not make it a LIE! it is a term used to identify it as other than a PT Run weather you have fun doing it or not is simply mind over matter you make up your mind to be unhappy most don't. They don't mind you don't matter, some of us do know how to have fun even if you don't. Have a nice day.

SSgt Joseph Baptist "I love the way that you come up with a ton of accusations about me when you obviously know nothing about me." ME: I can say the same here after all your the one down through the different threads we have responded to who has called me toxic the indicated me here as a non-leader.
As for an Apology, The only thing i will apologize for is letting you get under my skin by crying and bashing upper leadership and calling people you don't agree with liars, toxic, non leaders, Mofos Remember you are not the only one that served successfully and retired honorably.
" it is a term used to identify it as other than a PT Run " Sorry, but a PT run is a PT run, no matter what you call it. "If it wasn't a PT run, it wouldnt; be mandatory, and the troops wouldn't have to wear a PT uniform for it." This is all your upset enough about The name of it does not fit for you so you state: "Not to kiss the asses of a dishonest chain of command and promulgate lies while screwing over the troops that it is my duty as an NCO to support." Grow up a run is a run you can either enjoy it or hate it but part of what we do is stay healthy if you don't like it you have options besides bad mouthing the leaders with inaccurate statements. Fun Run indicates in Military terms=a run that yes you will participate in and no crying. You understand military terms that is evident but just in case you claim not to mofos=motherfu#$%@* very common term and indicates disrespect and insubordination when Directed towards individuals appointed above you.

"They don't mind you don't matter" Is a perfect example of non-leadership.
No it is not a PERFECT example of non-leadership, it is a statement that you can't make everyone happy hence you and your winney attitude is something you need to fix not everyone else involved. The rest are not having a problem with it just you.

"Sorry, Bob, but we will continue to disagree." Who the hell are you talking to here is this off a different thread?
I know you weren't talking to me because you don't have the authority to change my name.
Did i call you JOEY no i did not. This is why we disagree is you think everything is about you, and what you want, and what you want to do. Arrogant much?
"When you're retired you don't need to suck up to toxic leadership anymore - it won't get you promoted as a retiree." Arrogant much?
As a final statement yes Down votes when we share the same thread and you are disrespectful, abusive, and down grading of me or others, See i have rights too.
Have a nice life SSgt Joseph Baptist .

"Fun runs" are only fun if you like acting like a massive slinky..... jogging one second. Dead sprint the next because no one can keep their cover and alignment, people fall out so others have to fill in. And hello shin splints
