I have recently been told by my S1 that the SOLE certificate is no longer worth promotion points. Does anyone have any information on this subject?

VDH ALMC-DEMONSTRATED MASTER LOGISTICIAN
These are the only official course codes in eMILPO and these codes are for listing under "Military Education" on the record brief. In order for a course to be listed, it must be ATRRS-approved, be in a class you are physically present in or sit in via video teleconference and must be a minimum of 40 hrs. The certificate of course completion must be signed by an O5 or GS equivalent (or higher). Additionally, the course completion document must specify the number of hours completed in the classroom environment (40, 48, 56, 80 etc...) as well as the course title, which must match the listing on the approved eMILPO list. Other forms of online courses can listed under correspondence if there is an approved eMILPO code in the registry. The codes are created by the eMILPO HelpDesk, not from the course producing entity. We (the S1) do make attempts at contacting the Army proponent for a course that has a similar name but is slightly off in title. Sometimes, course titles are amended. 9 times out of 10, the proponent informs us the class taken is not legitimate.
Sorry to rain on the parade, but I wanted to ensure we are sharing the FACTS, not rumors, conjecture, speculation or barracks lawyer BS. I always try to support the Soldier as best, and as legitimately, as I can.

Sometimes the truth hurts. I was a grunt working in the S-1 and had to many times tell Soldiers that if it doesn't meet the requirements set forth in the Army Regulation, it doesn't count. It really sucks to have taken courses that don't count towards promotion, but if that's the only reason you are signing up for courses, are you actually getting any education from it or just trying to pound out as many points as possible?
I kind of wish there was a better way to stop people from racking up points in ALMS without showing they have actually benefited from it, but I guess wanting that makes me disloyal to my fellow promotable NCOs....

1SG (Join to see) I have seen this listed on one ERB under the "technical certification" area. Nobody else seems to have it listed there??? I am assuming that it is not supposed to be listed there and that one persons S1 found some way to manually input it? Can you help me out on the correct answer? Thanks.

Youre correct. I confirmed with SOLE personnel and the admin chief at the SSC, it is entered solely in the mil-ed section.

SFC Michael Hasbun and 1SG (Join to see) I may have spoken too soon. Logisticians are a special breed and this appears to be a recently changed update. I'll be back with more details in about 2 weeks. I'm trying to stay up with RP while on R&R and the blanching act isn't easy! Household 6 is gonna take my iPhone away!

I was aware that it was considered a technical certificate occurring to COOL. which would make it worth 10 points

It should have done in your correspondence hours. If you liik at the letter SOLE sent you, it tells your S-1 how many hours to enter it in at. If you look at the screenshot of my letter, look at the bottom and you can see where it mentions the hours. I was awarded the Senior level, I don't know how many hours the base award is worth.

This is not an online correspondence course. It is an international logistics society that review both military/civilian education and experience and awards you a technical certification based off of your qualifications. They work in conjunction with the military. you are informed and encouraged to apply by your instructors at ALU WHILE ATTENDING 92 series ALC/SLC. SFC Benavidez, It can be placed on your ERB, and it would be. I would show you in the HRC technical cert matrix where it shows it's elgibility and code.

SOLE should take the promotion points indicator away from this credential as is seen on COOL. This is not worth anything more than military education for which no points were awarded for schools either. Don't get ripped off.

How long did it take you to get your cert once you mailed off your packet? I mailed mine to SOLE 2 months ago and am curious how long it take?

Technical cert for E5 and E4. Military training for seniors. Just in case someone else needs more verification
