Hi. Just wondering what the normal process is regarding waivers? I have an re3 rentry code uncharacterized discharge. Does anyone know what my time frame is looking like with meps looking at my prescreen?

With the new system MHS Genesis, prescreens are mandatory for every single applicant.
With that being said:
-simple prescreen could take 1-3 days
-complex prescreens it could take up to 14 days.
Be aware, that there could be kick backs from MEPS and they may require additional documentation and that may restart that process timeline.
If it’s a medical waiver, MEPS will determine if one is required. If not, process as normal and enlist same day. If one is required, process as normal but a waiver must be worked through the Army. About another 1-3 weeks. Then you may go back to MEPS to enlist if the Army approved your waiver.
If it’s a moral waiver, I’m not sure how it works. Ive never personally done one of those.
You’ll need something official explaining why your code is a 3.

Thanks. This was super helpful! My recruiter sent my prescreen to meps but still asked me to go ahead and get my information together, I have to write a letter and get documents from my doctor. Hopefully I will hear something this week
