is it possible to find out what became of my 3 K-9's after me?

During my time in the AF, I was blessed with 3 beautiful smart dogs, one at Lackland AFB TX, one at Kadena AFB Okinawa then my last one at Pope AFB NC. I often wonder what happened to them after I left them. My first was when I went into K-9 training to become a handler. I was as green as my 18-month-old German Shepard. I was told he went on to a civilian PD but have no idea as I was shipped off to Okinawa and to another dog. Each base was a new dog. I have pictures of them but I don't think I have their tattoos copied anywhere.
