Do you find yourself coming to Rally Point or reviewing the list of topics sent by Rally point to your email for news you are interested in?
Rally point has a diverse population of members, with varied education levels, background, experiences, and subject matter experts ... who post topics on a variety of different subjects from different locations both CONUS and OCONUS.
The common denominator is that most everyone here has been in the the military or is some how connected to it.
Although I know other news sources offer the opportunity for people to comment on the news stories these comments are usually in and of themselves and there is not a real back and forth exchange of ideas the way you find them here on Rally point. As we all know there are some news sources that are more conservative and some that are more liberal. Here we find news sources from both liberal and conservative thinkers, so we have thoughts coming from both ends of the spectrum. For the most part discussions remain professional and in the end even if you agree to disagree, you can part ways and come back another day to discuss another topic or the same topic without becoming enemies. I think this is one of the positive aspects of Rally point, that we can agree to disagree.
Tell me what you think.

A majority of the worthless stuff comes right off of Facebook's breaking news. It's like we have high school kids trapped in adult bodies.

I agree, I do find myself coming back more often to see the topics/news posted. I also like the diversity of opinions in the discussions.

The best part of RP is the discussions of the news of the day. Lamesteream media could say anything, but there are plenty of very intelligent individuals who can break it down and get you past the BS so prevalent in the "news" to where you could either agree or disagree but in the end appreciate the conversation. My personal favorite is TSgt Hunter Logans BLM Pigs in a Blanket thread. SO MANY view points, so much to digest, yet there isn't a total consensus on it. Everyone there has a particular view and it's hell to read, but it's like a trainwreck...you can't turn away. Keep up the good work RP, and the folks on it.

Yes,i check RP regularly. Most of the media is so full of unimportant stories(at least to me),on RP i can sift out the things that don't interest me,also the comments made by many informed members tend to influence my opinions in some cases.Taken on the whole,it is a great source of information.

I don't watch the news or read the newspaper. This is the only way I know what is going on. The network news is too depressing I need something more up-beat .

Although I really like the site and respect the members too many use opinion rather than facts. That takes away from the news value. opinions are fine but easy to refute.

Seldom a news source because the overwhelmingly majority of "news" articles are complete garbage from click bait sites.
That said, I do frequently go look for news sources on topics from RallyPoint so when I see the trolls from right and left spouting off I know to ignore it.
Mostly... we all feed the trolls sometimes.
