I just so happened to come across this nugget today thanks to the "550 Cord and 100 MPH Tape" Facebook page. To be honest it is about right. Some just want to be offended just so they can wear it as a medal to be applauded by the masses.

On all social media you can't say something without some getting "butt hurt." If you say something as radical as #AllLifesMatter you will get corrected. God forbid that you say this MOS is better than this MOS. You will say how some guy did this one thing and now he is has mastered every individual and collective task now of the person that should have been doing that job. In addition to all of this he is also now a master tactician on par with any Company Commander from that MOS Captain's Career Course. If you just say that you are not the same then you better have a hand full of medals to hand out.

Maybe we should just sit back and enjoy a laugh not not be so rush to judgement. Sure I may be guilty of it. But here I am saying I am. I don't see that being to common now a days.

I am just curious how many down votes this will get. It is pretty much putting yourself in for the award.

There are no consequences on the internet. Well, so most people perceive. Rarely, such as Emma Becker, a person commits so egregious an error that it can effect their real life, but for the most part, it's SAFE to say things that would likely get you knocked on your ass if you said them in person to another human being. Combine that with today's generation of entitled children and...you have the trolling and constant butthurt situation you're referring to. The 'all lives matter' one is particularly annoying to me. How on earth can anyone get butthurt over that? Yet, they do.

By the way, 1LT, I demand the Pink Tear because we're all equal in every way and it doesn't matter if you tried harder than me or are more skillful. I simply DESERVE it!

CMSgt (Join to see) - To my favorite Airman......., Airwoman........, Airperson??........, CMSgt in the Air Force, I award you the highest award of this yet. I am sure this makes up for not knowing what title you want to be addressed by. I think this is like 100 awards but then again who really knows.

SGT (Join to see) - In a past life I worked in Marketing for the National Guard. I would make hand outs and imagines. I have basic program where I can design stuff. If I had a full photo shop you would see some amazing things.

1LT(P) L S - I think you are asking the wrong man for that. I think Jesus would be able to assist you with that.

1LT(P) L S - I am far from wrong. I am 10 years older than most of my peers. But I can still keep up with most of them. At IBOLC I had the lowest APFT score just about. It was in the 270+ range but others were in the 330 range.

CPT (Join to see) at OCS, as you know, any response other than "Sir, Candidate XXXXX, yes (or no) sir" was considered quibbling. I heard many rock hard NCOs tell whiners and complainers to "take it to the chaplain". People "get over themselves" much more quickly if the behavior is not indulged. I heard none of that at SFTG and I'm quite certain you didn't hear it at Ranger school either! CMSgt (Join to see)

The problem with the Internet is that you can't give the terminally butthurt the wall-to-wall counseling they desperately need...

The issue is no one respects the other person or their opinions. I enjoy conversations with people I do not agree with. This provides me with a different thought process and the ability to use my brain on a different level. If we can't learn to argue the world is going to become a more hostile place. Just because I don't agree with someone or something does not mean I hate them or they are less of a person than I am. Arguing to argue is a waste of time, but a true disagreement between 2 mature individuals many times will produce a solution both can live with. Just my .02.

This triggers me, I demand it be taken down.

It is a sad thing what the internet is becoming. I feel like saying the internet is sensitive is an understatement. All it takes is for you to have a slightly differing view from someone else and that other person will explode on you for hurting their feelings. I honestly don't understand to what end it serves to whine and complain about so much. But then I am probably biased or some other crap because literally nothing offends me.

TLDR: People need to calm down, relax a bit and try to enjoy life. It's to short to be hating everyone and everything the whole time.

There is a bit too much exposure going on. But then some people post some stupid stuff.

I couldn't agree more sir. As PC takes or limits language I view it as just another form of censorship enforced by peer pressure.
